Youth

Many Muslims groups wonder whats happened to our youth. They have left the deen and have busied themselves with earning a living.

They see the religion as something that they don't find anything in. Why have we reached this state? The answer is simple, really simple. The way we practice our religion isn't appealing to them.

It's that simple, they see us pray and fast but they just think that we are just physically wearing ourselves out and that's all.

They reject their background and reject part of this culture and then absorb themselves into such things as following their desires because they cannot see what we know about the religion. Also this is the age of following lowly desires.

Most of them absorb themselves into oppressed cultures who find themselves alienated in the modern world.

Our masjids are battle grounds where power struggles are fought and rivalry is battled out. Groups are presented and pushed forward, join my group, everyone has a group, this group mentality, almost tribal mentality is forced upon many.

This is wrong.

Were are those people who are interested in re-establishing the religion? Instead of establishing themselves, they want people to see that have some place in the masjid. Where did this come from?

On the flip side Wahhabi's on the whole don't have this problem, they are not plagued by corruption like the sunnis are, why is this? Why are the Sunnis making things hard for themselves, why don't they realise that we are chasing people out of our masjids and we don't care.

Generally there are exceptions but many Masjid committees are places were family loyalty is prevalent. They have made the masjid just a place where people pray and go home, the masjid was a place of learning.

Why don't we have the learning in the masjids like we used to do? The Committees are almost ineffective because they don't know what this country needs and they still think that they are living in a village somewhere in their homeland.

We have Imams whose mouths are sealed from speaking the truth about social problems, maybe due to fact that they are from Pakistan and don't see the need to look at our children and find out what their problems are.

Maybe they know but are forced to push all these problems under the carpet without thinking that this may have a longer, deeper effect that it did before. Or are their mouth sealed by the committee members, their silence buys them their jobs?

To solve the problem of the youth is to solve all the problems in our community.

This is not going to be easy but I do feel that things are slowly changing and they will change because if we continue in this manner they we will see that more problems.

I really hope that this can changed because if it cannot the future is bleak and this corrupt system will be removed so be part of the solution not part of the problem.

We have deep routed social problems which are steadily getting worse because of our failure to respond correctly and fix the problem.

We need to learn and we need to practice there no good in your love if you still disobey, you can slip up everyone does but you have to come back.

There are breakaway groups who are forming their own schools and calling English speaking scholars in, to teach. If the centre cannot be changed then it has to be changed from the outside this may lead to the death of these old-style movements and the birth of new Muslim organisations who can look after the needs of others.

Of course there are exceptions there are a few masjids who are working well with their communities but they are the minority.

So we should not be surprised when people leave the Sunnis because of this and the tragic events of last year. We have no knowledge that being parted in our masjids, so when people come and present ideas they see the people practice Islam better than the ones who they saw growing up. This must be the truth then! Unfortunately in terms of soundness of beliefs and jurist schools the four Sunni schools are unparallelled.

So the problem is our behaviour and our reaction to the people, our egos have tinged our religion for too long and now we are seeing bitter fruits ripen.

Now we cry because of our failures and our inability in reaching out to the people who need us the most, the youth, the weak and the needy.

We need to sit and listen then apply old solutions to new problems. If we cannot do it ourselves we get volunteers in who can help us in a certain field, women need to be catered for, because if we don't cater for women then others will.

We need scholars who understand this community and are willing to start at grass roots level and work to get the youth connected to the deen and the only this will happen is if we leave behind all our debris and go practice this deen and leave behind that which will eventually destroy us.

The one about the Priest, the Rabbi and the Imam

There was an Egyptian king who wanted to see which religion was true, Christianity, Judaism, Islam.

He called a Priest, a Rabbi and an Imam, to see which one would present the best argument.

The Christan priest was told to go first, he said no the Jews were here first so the Rabbi should go first. They argued then agreed for the Imam to go first.

The Imam was asked to present his case, he said, “If the Jews are right then the Muslims and Christians are okay because believe in Moses. If the Christians are right then the Jews have a problem and the Muslims are okay because we believe in Jesus. But if the Muslims are right then the Jews and Christians have a problem because they don’t believe in Muhammad.” (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

The age of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) when she married the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family)

This question is asked by many non-Muslims and is used to hurt Muslims who do not understand this, This was an answer that I had prepared for a Christian.

He married Aisha in contract initially and then she lived with him three years later. There are varying reports about her age when she married him some sources say 6,9,12,15 and the Shia say 18. According to Sheikh Hamza Yusuf all the narrations about her age at the time of marriage are singular narrations therefore there isn't one that stands out and we can affirm that narration.

In any case when she married him, she was fully formed woman, in other words capable of child birth. This was perfectly normal in that time, as it was the practice of the Arabs at that time to marry women at 12, when they had reached puberty and they did not live together until three years after that.

In most of the books, scholars generally say the age was twelve and then she went to live with him when she was fifteen, after the emigration to Medina.

This was a normal marriage in this time because another woman Khawla said why don't you marry Aisha, this confirms it as a practice of the people.

Don’t forget that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a dream where the angel Jibril was carrying a person and he asked who is was, the angel said it is your wife, the cloth was uncovered and it was Aisha, this happened three times. She was married to him before the Hijra to Medina and did not live with him until after which was some three years.

In the Jewish Torah it states than any father who hasn’t married his daughter by the age of twelve, has dishonoured her. Henry the 8th wed Anne Boleyn aged twelve.

Some Hindis marry when their brides are aged twelve, the Jewish tradition has about what age a woman should be when she marries, some say 6 others say 9 and 12.

Mary mother of Jesus according to Christain sources was 12 when she gave birth to Jesus (upon them peace).

There are several reasons for this marriage, Aisha (may God be pleased with her) reported the second most narrations about him (over two thousand), she was the first female scholar and she taught hundreds if not thousands of students.

She corrected other companions when they made mistakes, she was a living authority of religious knowledge in her time. Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was also married to Safiyyah, the daughter of Huyayy ibn Akhtab, the leader of a Jewish tribe in Arabia. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)married her when she was 16 years old and guess what? He was her third husband; she was married twice before him.

So, how old do you think she was when she got married to her first husband? Probably around 12 or 9, just like `A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with her).

According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica—which is a Western source written by non-Muslim scholars and scientists — puberty is “in human physiology, the stage or period of life when a child transforms into an adult normally capable of procreation,” which essentially means “sexually mature.” She was engaged before him to the son of Uqbah ibn Muayt. He was one of the idol worshipers of the Quraish, who had abandoned her because of her father’s strong position in supporting Islam.

Also, when Khawlah bint Hakim suggested to him to marry Aisha, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, thought thoroughly whether to accept or to refuse. He took into consideration his relation with Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him).

People who try to compare one time with another really misrepresent that time.

Many people forget how amazing Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was, after the Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) passed away, she did not marry again. She loved him that much that she could not bear to marry anyone else.

People who bring slander to this are really showing what they have in themselves because when a dog backs at the moon, it does not a make a difference to it.

The Unity Fallacy

Unity is an issue that is brought to the fore in some conversations in masjids, campuses and the like, but does anyone actually understand unity as a concept.

The word unity means "The combination or arrangement of parts into a whole" amongst other meanings. The message is simple they want to see a unification of Muslims into one body, one organisation. On the outside this seems reasonable until you learn the manner in which the want to do this.

They want to drop/leave whatever causes difference this includes all the juridical schools, whatever they may be. You see to drop what gives you certainty that your prayer is correct is insanity. They also want to drop any school of theological belief this also is a disaster firm belief can only be based upon what you know if you cannot defend your faith, do actually know your faith?

They also say that becoming more political minded will help. How can that be? What does this have to do with religion, this is not what the normal person should be concerned with. They take a minor issue and turn it into a mega issue, much like this group.
The hide under these pretexts and don't allow people to think beyond this, they have their spoon fed knowledge and that's all you should need.

Without knowledge any movement is just slogans, how can we leave the knowledge of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and think that we will be successful.

This is really just a slogan, like many groups who say Islam is the solution but they don't know what the solution is. They have cut themselves from knowledge and think this is way forward, this is the way backward.

To be fair the group has made various attempts to reach out to others through the form of outreach and other community activities.

Many of the companions had major disagreements about issue but the difference here is that they did not let there difference come between them. For example did what the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw in the night journey. Aisha and Ibn Abbas disagreed but this did not cause a split.

Juridical schools or theological schools do not cause splits, people who take them too seriously cause problems. Like not praying is someone masjid because they follow a different school to you. Otherwise historically this was similar to friendly banter of siblings and it also shows the health of these schools.

Rather than call for unity in and amongst the majority they call from outside by forming another group. This causes a slip already then how can this be unity if you are causing a split?

If I am going to criticise shouldn't I then come forward with a solution, how is unity attained? Unity is attained by accepting peoples opinions as long as they do not take someone out the fold of Islam. We come together work together and help each other. As it stands we dislike each other and do our best to undermine each other, whether we are part of this group or not. Unity is built into the religion because no one can issue an edict that breaks unity. Unity is working together for a common goal not unifying opinions into one that's something else.

Unity is built in the religion and that's the real problem, its already there as a concept, we just need to practice it.

Have you ever looked at your hand? Your fingers are not all the same length, it works better that way.

Hizb ut-Tahrir

Hizb means party, (in this case) and Tahrir means liberation or freedom. These give us an idea that this is the party that will set us free, free from what?

This group are one of the most active groups in the country and are about to be banned for their views. They are in essence a political party focused upon one major issue and this is the only issue for the group. They desire to restore the Caliphate system that was abolished in 1924 at the end of the Ottoman Empire.

They say that the Muslim Umma is missing the caliphate and its in dire need of this at the moment. Establishing the Caliphate will solve all our problems and restore what’s been lost due to foreign ideologies that have entered Muslim countries.

Yet at their core of the activism of this group is politics not the religion, Islam is not a political party, its a religion and neither is it a an ideology.

They claim that Islam is an ideology, the dictionary definition is as follows, "Ideology: ideas at basis of economic or political theory or system." Can Islam fit into this definition, it cannot, as Islam is a religion and a way of life and it cannot be limited into one part and say this is Islam. So it cannot be and ideology and the word has a root to the word idea, ideas are for limited beings, Humans. Islam is not an idea it is a religion that cannot be separated into once section, at the same time we have Islamic instructions for trade in our Fiqh books.
Yet, this defintion fits the group perfectly, political theory, seen as this is all they seem to be concerned with.

Islam is not a political system, the first political party of the Muslims where the Shias and they are following in their footsteps. Slipping from the main body of Muslims forming a new group with radical ideas.

Personally, I have several questions that remain unanswered.

1. Who funds this group? They have several books and a magazine that are widely circulated, yet month after month the magazine is not sold. Many copies remain unsold can any business remain productive if their products are not being sold? Someone must be funding this group. They have lectures and other things that they give away free of charge, where is this money coming from? They have currently one person on a Masjid committee, this cannot be enough, can it?

2.They are mostly active in public Universities up and down the country, why just there? Have they been thrown out of their communities? This is the place that they have been attained success, from recruiting new members to propagating their ideas. Why would universities allow so-called radicals to be part of the fabric of the university, when they own the premises, in most cases, if not all.

3. Why do they encourage young speakers who have little or no background in Islamic education, to speak in lectures? This deserves some thought as it is counter-productive to say the least.

4. Recently they have hidden their lectures in anti-racist literature or events, this is why I no longer take any leaflets given to me outside any Masjid. Their name might not be displayed clearly but if you read the small print, you will find it.

5. Why is it the group place emphasis on the caliphate? When we are in dire need of Muslim citizens, we don’t jump to the top of the ladder, we start at the first step, lets start at the first step.

6. Islam has never been revived from politics, it can only be revived religiously not politically.

7. Everything that is un-Islamic to them is unbelief therefore unacceptable. As the last example explains the group has a Marxist influence, if we get our state, we'll be okay. This is of course rubbish we had the Ottoman caliphate in place when the French occupied Algeria and Tunisia, the British: Iraq and Egypt, during the 19th century, did it stop the invasion? It didn’t did it.

8. In the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) the focus was on establishing the religion not the state. So why has this changed now? When the religion was established then the caliphate came as a blessing and then later it was taken.

9. After the end of the Ottoman caliphate, we have seen Islam spread to countries that it never could before. 234% increase in the number of Muslim from 1924 - 1984.

10.Which caliphate do they accept? In one period of time there was three caliphs, all claiming that theirs was the correct claim. In the 10th century we had the Abbasid caliphate, the Shia Fatimid caliphate and the Spanish Umayyad Caliphate, which one do they follow? After the Abbasid caliphate was abolished by the Mongols it there was a gap until the next Sunni caliphate, that of the Ottomans was established. So in this time do they accept the Spanish caliphate which by now was ruled nominally and had broken into several parts.

Have they added to the debate? Well it is a reminder that the caliphate needs to re-established but we cannot do this through western ideologies, by giving them a Islamic covering, this will never work. We need to come to Islam first then establish that and if the caliphate comes it is a blessing. If we spend all our time trying to create awareness of the caliphate and have left some of our religion, what is the point? We have to start with the citizens and build from their the more we neglect this the worse our condition becomes. Hizb ut-Tahrir make a bad situation worse, our condition cannot be changed by a coup, it can only be changed if we practice. Only then can we move forward, otherwise we will keep bickering and that will get us nowhere.

Why I am not a Salafi

Doctrine About Allah

Allah as a human being
1. Salafis are taught by their theologians that Allah is a human being with limits.
Please read a statement from Mr.Ibn Baz (1920- 1999), former Mufti of the Salafi sect:

Allah is above limits that humans
know, but He has limits that only
He knows.
[al- `Aqidah Tahaawiyyah Bi- Ta`liq, p. 12]

That is not the Lord of the Muslims, as Allah SWT has told us, There is no thing like Him, and He is the All Hearing, the All Seeing.
[Surat ush- Shura, ayah 11]

Imaam Ali ibn Abi Talib RAA told us, Indeed, Allah the Exalted created the Throne as a manifestation of His Power and not a place for His Essence. He was in the beginning, while there was no place or time and He is now as He ever was.
[Al- Farq bain al- Firaq, p. 41].

2. Salafis are taught by their theologians that Allah sits on a chair in each heaven.
Haafiz al- Hakami (1924- 1958), a former head teacher at the Salafi colleges, has said, Indeed Allah descends to the lowest sky and in each sky He has a Kursi (chair), so when he comes down to the lowest sky, He sits on His Kursi (chair)……….. then when the morning comes, He ascends and elevates and goes and sits on His Kursi (chair).
[Ma`aarij ul- Qubul, V. 1, p. 256]

The Almighty over all says of Himself, Indeed, that is your Lord, Allah, who created the skies and the Earth in six days and He is above the Throne.
[Surat ul- A`raaf (7), ayah. 54]

Please notice how there is no mention of any human attributes whatsoever as Allah is Exalted far above being a human being and is not human.

3. Salafis are taught by their theologians that Allah has literal organs and an ‘exalted body. ’ Ibn Baz has said,
To say that Allah does not have a body, pupils, ear drums and ear lobes, tongue, and
larynx is not the position of Muslim Orthodoxy.
[At- Tanbihaat (Warnings), p. 22]

All that could be said to such blasphemy is:
And they thought of Allah other than the truth, the thought of the Days of Ignorance.
[Surah Aali `Imraan (3), ayah 154]

They think evil of Allah and for them is a severe torment.
[Surat ul- Fath (48), ayah 6]

Doctrines towards other Muslims

Most Muslims are not Muslims but pagans/ deviants

4. Salafis have been taught by their leaders that verses in the Qur’an which speak about the kuffar can also be applied to believing Muslims. .
Mr. Muhammad Jameel Zeeno explains how verses in the Qur’an about kuffar are easily applicable to Muslims, And these ayaat about kuffar, even if they are specifically about the kuffar, then indeed they are an established proof against anyone bearing their characteristics and attributes claiming Islam and going to war against those who call to belief in the uniqueness of Allah.
[Minhaaj al- Firqat un- Naajiyah (The Methodology of the Safe Sect), pgs. 39- 40]

The great Sahaabi Ibn `Umar RAA has said about those who apply verses about the kuffar to believing Muslims, They are the worst of Allah’s creatures and these people took some verses that had been revealed concerning the kuffar (unbelievers) and interpreted them as describing the mu’minin (believers).
[Sahih ul- Bukhaari, V. 9, p. 50]

5. Salafis have been taught by their scholars that most Muslims today have not only
become pagans, but they are like the Jews and Christians in the major kufr and shirk,
which makes them complete kuffar Muhammad Ismaa`il as-San`aani (1688- 1768) says
about most Muslims,
They don’t even know the reality of Islam or the actual nature of the Uniqueness of
Allah, so indeed they are kuffar absolutely and without any restriction.
[Tathir ul- Itiqaad `an adraan il- Ilhaad (Purifying the Creed from the Filth of Desecration), p. 36]

The Prophet Muhammad SAW has said, Indeed, the Children of Israel will split into 71 sects and this Ummah will have one more sect than them, all in the Fire except
as- Sawaad al- A`zam (the vast majority of people of the Muslims).
[Majma` az- Zawaa’id, V. 1, pg 179, al- Haakim in al-
Mustadrak, V. 4, pg 430 al- Baihaqi in al- Madkhal, pgs. 34
and 35, Tarikh Baghdaad, V. 13, pgs. 307 and 311 and al-
Faqih wal- Mutafaqqih, V. 1, pgs. 179 and 180. Also taken
from al- I`tisaam, V. 2, pgs. 458+; Faid ul- Qaadir, V. 5, p.
347 and classed hasan]

The Sahaabi Ibn `Abbas RAA referred to all upright Muslims in his time as, “Ahl us- Sunna,” which in English means, Muslim Orthodoxy.
[Sahih Muslim, V. 1, Muqaddamah (introduction)]

Hizb ut-Tahrir - history

HIZB UT-TAHRIR:

Founder

Taqi ud-Din an-Nabahaani, a reader in Mu`tazilah theology and a student of knowledge from Jordan, he was the founder of Hizb ut-Tahrir in the year 1953, in an attempt to ‘re-ignite the desire for khilaafa in the hearts of the Musims.’ He was successful in mixing a Salafi-brand type of Islam with Marxist/Leninist ideology that when fused became a volatile recipe of ignorance, confusion and disaster for Muslims worldwide.

One can see the followers of this movement today in most urban centres of Islam, spouting slogans, waving black flags and distributing leaflets to beleaguered Muslims emerging from the congregational Jumu`ah prayer. This style of teaching, learned from the party culture, is what replaces any systematic talks and teachings on salvation, theology, the Day of Resurrection and so forth. In fact, many will find that in their books, they are devoid of almost any talk of the Hereafter, Salvation, theology necessary for every believer to know and so forth. Although proclaiming that they are merely a political group, many of their press releases have theological overtones as well as principles. It is usually in college and university that young, naive Muslims are set upon by this organisation.

Key beliefs

1. They do not make it a priority to study systematic theology and the principles of knowing their faith, but are told and tell others that once the khilaafa is established, then such matters can be attended to by the populous. One will find many members unaware of the basis principles of the Muslim Creed, something both frightening as well as unnerving.

2. Hizb ut-Tahrir use the methods of debate as well as theological responsa extracted from the Mu`tazilah sect. This type of thinking of course has drastic consequences on the rest of the theology.

3. Many of the leaders, still today, hold that there is no punishment of the grave, denying numerous ahaadith as well as verses from the Qur’an that explicitly state this fact.

4. Followers of Hizb ut-Tahrir are commanded to attend two hours of lessons a week as a fard (compulsory) order. Missing them requires sincere repentance to Allah

5. They will not adhere to one of the four orthodox schools as an organisation. Rather, they blend and combine rulings, sometimes even making their own fataawa, such as the permissibility of listening to music with harmonics as well as viewing pornography and the naked body. All of this stems from the fact of a tacit refusal to submit to the methodology of Muslim Orthodoxy.

6. HT members seeking out new followers are usually encouraged to ‘go for the Jaahil ones,’ meaning those who have no knowledge of Islam. This methodology alone deserves to be labelled at cultic.

7. The Hizb ut-Tahrir are willing to work under any banner with any of the cults as long as ‘they are Muslims who want khilaafa.’

Extent
It is unknown the precise numbers of HT as the organisation does not rigorously keep records, but some estimates place as many as 10,000-20,000 full-time members worldwide.

Bahai

BAHAI:
Founder

Born on 12 November 1817, Mirza Husain Ali was born in the city of Tehren into a family of wealthy government ministers. He was able to trace his lineage back to the great Iranian rulers in the past. Coming from a Twelver Shi`a background, he received the best of education at that time, studying at a prestigious private school for the children of government diplomats and officials.

In the year 1835, he married the daughter of another nobleman and had three children, one of them named Abdul Bahaa. In the nineteenth century, there was an incredible amount of turmoil in the world of the Twelver Shi`a, many eagerly awaiting the re-appearance of the 12th Imaam, who had disappeared centuries ago in the cave of Samaraa. There were many messianic movements and claims to the title of Mahdi by numerous pretenders. One of these charismatic charlatans was a man by the name of Buzurg-i-Nuri. He claimed himself to be the Baab, the doorway through which the Mahdi would come.

Mirza Husain Ali, along with another student named Yahya, was a devoted follower. Upon the death of Buzurg-i-Nuri, Yahya was slated to be the successor according to the will of the Baab, however through intrigue and other methods, Mirza Husain was able to seize control of the cult. Upon becoming the leader, he began to direct himself to the task of further defining teachings and doctrines of the Baabi cult. After deep contemplation, Mirza Husain Ali proclaimed that the followers of his would be called Bahais and that he was Baha’u’llah, the splendour of Allah and the greatest prophet as of yet sent. He was the Christ of the Christians, the grand bodhisattva of the Buddhists, the final avatar of the Hindus and the Mahdi to the Muslims.

He even proclaimed that there were prophecies about him in the Jain religion! Indeed, he left no prophetic stone unturned. As his claims of prophecy spread and his beliefs became more well-known, the Ottoman governmental authorities came to know of his false claims to prophecy. He and his followers were sent into exile. The city chosen was Acre in today’s Israel. This is where he would live out the remainder of his days, at a penal colony built by the Ottomans for the world’s worst charlatans, murders, fanatic and highway robbers.

On 29 May, 1892, Mirza Husain Ali died. His remains were laid to rest quickly and his place of interment today is known as Bahji, the holiest place on Earth for Bahais. It is a frequent place of visitation as well as pilgrimage for Bahais every year to see the remains of their master.

Key beliefs

1. Ultimately Allah is unknowable and humanity will never have a relationship with Him or see Him for that matter.

2. It is Baha’u’llah and not the Prophet Muhammad that is the greatest prophet. Bahais do not accept the primordiality of the Messenger of Allah SAW.

3. There is no Bahai that adheres to one of the Orthodox Schools of law.

4. Paradise and the Fire are seen as states of the mind and not real places with real events in them.

5. The Qur’an is abrogated as a revelation and now it is the works of Baha’u’llah that hold primacy.

6. The Messiah is not to come again, rather this is metaphorical and was referring to Baha’u’llah.

7. There is no Mahdi, as this was only referring to Baha’u’llah.

Extent

There are Bahais in some 120 different countries around the world. It has been estimated by the World Christian Encyclopaedia that there are between some 4-7 million Bahais worldwide as of a census taken in the year 2001.

Khawaarij

KHAWAARIJ:

Founder

The originator for this terrible catastrophe for the Ummah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is none other than a man by the name of Dhul Khuwaisira. There is a lengthy hadith in description of him:

Imaam `Ali ibn Abi Taalib sent a piece of gold not yet taken out of its’ ore, in a tanned leather container to the Messenger of Allah SAW. The Messenger of Allah SAW distributed that amongst four persons, `Uyaina bidn Bar, Aqra bin Habi, Zaid al-Khail and the fourth was either `Alqama or `Amir ibn at-Tufail. On that, one of his companions said, ‘We are more deserving of this gold than these people are.’ When that news reached the Prophet SAW he said, ‘Don’t you trust me though I am the trustworthy man of the One above the sky and I receive the news of Heaven both in the morning and in the evening?’

Then there arose a man with sunken eyes, raised cheek bones, raised forehead, a thick beard, a shaven head and an izaar (waist sheet) that was tucked up, and he said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Fear Allah!’ The Messenger of Allah SAW said, ‘Woe be to you! Am I not of all the people of the Earth the most entitle to fear Allah? Then the man went away. Khaalid ibn al-Walid said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Allow me to kill him.’ The Prophet SAW said, ‘No, for he may offer prayers.’ Khaalid said, ‘There are many of those who offer prayers and say by their tongues what is not present in their hearts.’

The Messenger of Allah SAW said, ‘I have not been ordered by Allah to search the hearts of the people or to cut open their bellies.’ Then the Prophet SAW looked at him while the man was going away and said, ‘From the offspring of this man will come a people who will recite the Qur’an continuously and beautifully but it will not go past their throats. Then they will exit from the religion just as the arrow exits the body of the game. ’ If I should be present in their time, I would kill them just as the nation of Thamud were killed.’

[Taken from Sahih ul-Bukhaari, V. 9, hadith #527]

The Khawaarij from this moment would go through time, changing shape, taking on new innovations and new falsehoods at every step, opposing the authority of Orthodox Muslims at every step. There were assassinations attempted on the lives of more than six khalifas as well as the attempt to murder guests of the khalifa as well. But the most violent and uncontrollable faction of the Khawaarij arose about 212 years ago.

It took place at the birth of a young man by the name of Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhaab (1111-1206 AH/1699-1792 AD), reared in a household of Hanbali theologians in the city of `Uyainah in the district of Najd in the Arabian Peninsula. Although having humble beginnings as an Orthodox Muslim, in the year 1143 AH/1731 AD, after reading through the books of an ultra-iconoclastic writer by the name of Muhammad as-Sana`aani, he proclaimed a new faith. His proclamation was simple.

The Muslims from the years after the Sahaaba had not understood the religion in its’ purity. Infact, Islam had been in decline for millennia. This was due to many practices that had infiltrated the Muslim masses. Those Muslims that were responsible for this had to be guided. If they accepted, they would be accepted as Muslims, in which they would have to proclaim the Shahaada and give their oath of allegiance to Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhaab. If they refused, they would have to be killed as apostates, as they insisted on an Islam that was not compatible with the Qur’an and the Sunna.

At the rise of this movement, it was met with contempt by all of the Orthodox Fathers and Mothers present and was duly denounced. The final point came when the khalifa of the time period, Sultaan Selim III (reigned from 1789-1807 AD), dispatched the Islamic army to rid the Peninsula of the movement. Upon arrival, the captain of the military, Sayyid Muhammad `Ali Basha defeated this group, known as al-Muwahhidun, in full, executed most of their theologians and soldiers and sent the remainder to be in captivity in Egypt, awaiting trial for war crimes as well as many of the gangland style murders that had been committed in the cities of Makkah, Madinah, Taa’if and others.

Some al-Muwahhidun, upon release from prison and with the help of master masons of the 33rd degree such as Muhammad `Abduh, Jamaal ud-Din al-Afghaani and Muhammad Rashid Ridaa’, sought to revamp the sect and resurrect it for the 1930s. It was then decided to call it ad-Da`wat ul-Islaahiyyah (the Call to Reform). It was here that they set out their ideas of the humanisation of Allah and His Unknowability in addition to outright denial of the angels. Other ideas began to follow and of course in Egypt, as in Arabia, they were met with scorn and enmity.

But when they finally decided to build a lasting name, they settled upon, ‘Salafiyyah,’ a name hearkening back to the ‘golden age of Islam before the great apostasy of the Ummah.’ This name inspired all who still held belief in the tiny group and `Abdul `Aziz ibn Aal as-Sa`ud worked through a series of wars and intrigue in the Arabian Peninsula to take hold of the country in the name of this movement and lay the foundation for the state of Saudi Arabia. In 1925, with the Islamic government now defunct and the sound of the collapse of Islamic central governing heard around the world, Ibn as-Sa`ud established his Edenic Salafi Civilisation. In the newly formed empire of Saudi Arabia, `Abdul `Aziz was the undisputed autocrat, without question. Now Salafiyyah had a government under its’ control as well as the oil profits that would come in the 1930s from the petroleum discoveries of ARAMCO.

Since that time, the Salafiyyah have been exporting their peculiar and exotic form of Islam to different parts of the Muslim World, but they have put most of their emphasis on Muslims in the West. Their ventures have been met with surprising success. Some 35% or more of the Islamic centres in the United States are under either direct control of Salafiyyah or have been sponsored by the Saudi/Salafi unholy alliance.

The achievements of the Salafis have been many but perhaps we should list the most well known and outstanding of their exploits:

1. Projecting a form or holiness and godliness, but by practice and faith DENYING THE MAJESTY AND POWER THEREIN

2. Rebellion against the Ottoman khilaafa and aiding in its’ collapse.

3. Over the past 35 years there have been three attempts to remove the body of the Prophet Muhammad from Masjid an-Nabawi in Madina where he lies in state, as it is viewed as major shirk that ejects from Islam and leads to apostasy to have it lying in state there.

4. Proclaiming themselves to be the only legitimate Islamic State on Earth.

5. Signing into law a ruling that to speak against the government or leaders of the Saudi Arabian government is to speak against Allah and thus commit major kufr, which ejects one out of Islam and into apostasy.

6. Those who have made amulets with verses from the Qur’an in them have been jailed as well as given capital punishment in Saudi Arabia for their ‘apostasy.’

7. Gatherings for Remembrance of Allah on a large scale in the Sacred Masjid in Makkah and other public venues have been banned but large scale celebrations of the foundation of the Salafiyyah government in Saudi Arabia in 1925 have gone unabated.

8. There have been an uncalculated number of executions done without trial as well as witnesses.

9. By Saudi law, the women may not marry out of Saudi stock, but in 1988, Mr. Ibn Baz, leader of the Salafi sect and government mufti, passed a ruling allowing the MEN but not women to take their pick of non-Saudi spouses. Many returned with ‘California dolls,’ much to the consternation of Salafi authorities.

10. The continued murder of both Sunni and Shi`a in Pakistan as well as the destruction of their masaajid, as Salafiyyah teaches that neither of the two are Muslims anyway.

11. Targeted attacks on populations with the deliberate aim of specifically killing non-combatants in large numbers, such as those recent attacks in Bali, France, the devastation of synagogues in Tunisia and Morocco and Turkey as well as whole scale murder of civilians in Algeria.

12. Infanticide in Algeria as well as funding a market of sex slaves, those mostly being Muslim women that did not subscribe to their rigorous brand of Islam.

13. The consistent murder of prisoners of war in southern Sudan as well as Chad.

14. Interference in the affairs Afghanistan, precipitating the collapse of its’ central government, breaking more than three treaties with the host government as well as contributing to the trade in heroin and the sexual exploitation of the Afghani people.

15. Murder of doctors, aid workers and news reporters who desire to shed light on the affairs of Salafiyyah and its’ tactics in different countries throughout the world.

16. Those accused of prostitution have been executed (there is no evidence for this in Islamic Law at all).

17. Those ‘guilty of fornication’ have received capital punishment.

18. Continuing in the sex slave industry with women exported from as far abroad as the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and India.

19. Denying the advance of science by stating that study of space and the stars is a waste of time and against Islamic Law.

20. Refusal to admit that the Earth is round and that it does revolve around the sun in a heliocentric cycle.

21. Refusal to allow women to drive due to the ruling that they are ‘mentally lacking.’

22. Murdering and slaughtering the Jews in Palestine who are actually campaigning for the rights of Muslims in Palestine such as Neturei Karta and others.

23. Circulating books around the world that about with errors in creed, fiqh, salvation and other crucial subjects.

24. Editing and tampering with the hadith collections, deleting ahaadith and then releasing abridged and expunged versions of the finished product.

25. Funding embarrassing translations and commentaries of the Qur’an, which aid in pushing Muslims away from the Qur’an with numerous brackets, page breaks and parenthesis which make it nearly impossible to know when the Salafis speak and when Allah is speaking (perhaps it is linked with a belief that Salafism is of the Divine).

Key beliefs

The Salafiyyah as an organisation has many beliefs, but we are mainly interested in those that are in clear contravention of what Muslim Orthodoxy have believed in the major areas that border on salvation and other crucial doctrines:

a. Salafiyyah does not share the belief with Muslim Orthodoxy in that Allah is above matter and not resembling His Creation in any manner. Allah is implicitly held (and in some cases explicitly) by Salafi theologians to be an exalted man sitting on a large chair. His Attributes are all literal according to the language and how we know and understand them. Therefore to the Salafis, the Lord sits, stands climbs up and climbs down, etc and is the same as a human being.

b. The Prophet Muhammad is not primordial, but only a mere man and the last prophet. Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhaab denied most of his prophetic miracles.

c. Prophets are not completely infallible (this tenet is held implicitly) and in fact the Prophet Muhammad was led astray at one point by Shaitan (this tenet is expressed explicitly).

d. Denial of the miracles of the saints and sometimes of some of the prophets.

e. Salvation is by deeds and the believer enters the Paradise because of his deeds and not due to Grace and the Mercy of Allah.

f. Following the Four Orthodox schools is blind following at the least and at the most is major shirk that will eject the perpetrator out of Islam and into apostasy.

g. Salafi theologians believe themselves able to extract laws and make rulings directly from the Qur’an and the Sunna, placing themselves on the same level as the Four Great Imaams.

h. Swearing by other than Allah is major shirk that will eject the perpetrator out of Islam and into apostasy (the Orthodox state that while it is a sin, it is not enough to lead to apostasy).

i. Visiting the graves to seek the barakah (bounty) of the saints is shirk that can eject one out of Islam and into apostasy.

j. Making du`aa to Allah using the barakah of the prophets or saints is major shirk that will eject the perpetrator out of Islam and into apostasy.

k. Calling on the angels for help when one is in distress is major shirk that will eject the perpetrator out of Islam and into apostasy (in fact, this action was done by the Mother of Ismaa`il, Hajar and there are many other instances).

l. Using the Qu’ran or the Names of Allah to heal people or as a pendant is major shirk that will eject the perpetrator out of Islam and into apostasy. The government of Saudi Arabia, which is run by the Salafi cult, has executed perpetrators of this ‘crime.’

m. Most Muslims are idol worshippers and have gone back into the Pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance before the Prophet Muhammad came to preach unto them.

n. The Prophet Muhammad cannot be seen in a dream by Muslims now and the ahaadith about his being seen in a dream in his actual form can only be interpreted to mean his companions who knew how he appeared.

o. There is only a small faction of the Muslims that is entering the Paradise.

p. Salvation is by actions and not by faith alone.

q. Some elements of the Salafiyyah organisation have actually went to the extreme of proclaiming Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhaab as a prophet. This statement was insinuated by Muhammad ibn `Abdul Wahhaab himself one more than two occasions and recorded of his followers on three other occasions.

r. Those that disagree with them are either astray or kuffar.

s. The prophets, saints and martyrs are dead in their graves and do not hear.

t. Although having a form of godliness, Salafiyyah rejects by implication many things of the unseen. An example would be the espousing of the belief in angels, but when any report comes of a sighting of them, they say that angels cannot be seen and that it must have been a demon.

u. Whoever will not label him or herself specifically with the title ‘Salafi’ will fall under divine judgement.

v. Salafiyyah has an emphasis on the negative aspects of the law, for example, what not to do, what to abstain from, what to avoid. However, the positive laws Salafis are very ignorant of and many are not aware of the peace and joy that can be found in Islam. It is for this reason that many Salafis have either returned to their former religion, if they converted, or abandoned Salafism and became born again Christians.

Please stay tuned for more articles about this phenomenon and how you can help lead someone from the darkness to the light!

Extent
Out of the population of 24.3 million people in the Arabian Peninsula, perhaps as many as 2,000,000 are upon the Salafi cult and methodology. There are estimated to be perhaps another 3,000,000 of them around the world in such places as the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Algeria Pakistan and other countries. Although such a small sect, their organisation and logistical skills with the money taken from the petroleum boom have spread their periodicals, books and pamphlets throughout the world, giving the appearance that they are more numerous than they truly are in reality.

Refutation of the group Tolu e Islam (Founded by GA Pervez) and any Koranites/Quranites groups

Refutation of the group Tolu e Islam (Founded by GA Pervez) and any Koranites/ Quranites group

http://www.tolueislam.com/index.htm

"Say, If you love Allah then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you, your sins. Allah is oft-forgiving and merciful." 3.38 Follow who? Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) That should be enough for you to follow him and believe in him, if you need more read on.

This group does not believe in the validity of hadith as part of the sacred law, they claim that the Quran is enough for them to follow. The founder GA Pervez challenged the scholars claiming that the hadith itself was not valid for a source of sacred law. He claimed that the hadith has varying degrees of unreliability because of a particular verse, we will go through each time that they claimed something and prove that it does not mean what it literally says or how they understand it.

Proof for the Validity of all the compulsory prayers, to reject these all leads to disbelief, be careful! Asr “Guard your prayers and the middle prayer.” (2.238)
Isha - Fajr -Zhur and Magrib “So glorify Allah when you enter the night and when you enter the morning. Unto him be praise in the Heavens and the Earth and the suns decline and at noon.” (30.17-18) Allah also says, “Worship at fixed times has been enjoined on the believers.” (4.103)
The article is here http://www.freewebs.com/tawhiyd/hadiythexposed.htm

I would like to go through every instance that the word Hadith comes in the Quran.
Like any word in Arabic it has many meanings from the Hans Wehr dictionary, (spelt with ha, daal, ya and Tha), speech, chat, conversation, discussion, interview, prattle, gossip, report, account, tale, narrative and the last one is Prophetic tradition.

We also need to understand something the context because if that is not understood then the whole sentence can be is misunderstood. This I feel is the area that has been misunderstood by this group.

The following the Quranic reference and the meaning of the word hadith in the Ayat.

39.23 the best of speech

12.111 Here is refers to the Story of Yusuf (upon him peace) not being invented

45.6 This refers to discourse

31.6 this one also refers to the discourse of men

77.50 this refers to the Quran

52.34 It refers to the Quran again

They also claim that the Quranic ayah 17.24 say that you should only call with the Quran. How they understand it is that only the Quran should be used a source for sacred law.

Lets look at different translations of the same line.

Pickhalls translation
"And We place upon their hearts veils lest they should understand it, and in their ears a deafness; and when thou makest mention of thy Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn their backs in aversion."

Mushin Khan
"And We have put coverings over their hearts lest, they should understand it (the Quran), and in their ears deafness. And when you make mention of your Lord Alone (La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah) Islamic Monotheism ()) in the Quran, they turn on their backs, fleeing in extreme dislikeness."

Yusuf Ali
"And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth). "

M Shakir
"And We have placed coverings on their hearts and a heaviness in their ears lest they understand it, and when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran they turn their backs in aversion."

Your Lord is one, not use the Quran alone as they state it is.

Does the Quran wish us to follow the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? Yes.

This should be enough evidence. “(O Muhammad, to mankind): if ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, merciful.” Ahl-Imran 3, Verse 31

There are nineteen times that obedience of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is stated in the Quran by Allah Subhanu wa ta’ala

1) “The messenger believeth in that which hath been revealed unto him from his Lord and (so do) believers. Each one believeth in Allah and his angels and his scriptures and his messengers - We make no distinction between any of his messengers - and they say: We hear, and we obey. (Grant us) Thy forgiveness, our Lord. Unto Thee is the journeying.” Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #285)

2) “Say: obey Allah and the messenger. But if they turn away, lo! Allah loveth not the disbelievers (in his guidance).” Ahl Al-Imran, Chapter #3, Verse #32)

3) “These are the limits (imposed by) Allah. Whoso obeyeth Allah and his messenger, He will make him enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where such will dwell for ever. That will be the great success.” An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #13)

4) “and whoso disobeyeth Allah and his messenger and transgresseth his limits, He will make him enter Fire, where he will dwell for ever; his will be a shameful doom.” An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #14)

5) “They ask thee (O Muhammad) of the spoils of war. Say: The spoils of war belong to Allah and the messenger, so keep your duty to Allah, and adjust the matter of your difference, and obey Allah and his messenger, if ye are (true) believers.” Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #1)

6) “O ye who believe! obey Allah and his messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak).” Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #20)

7) “O ye who believe! obey Allah, and the messenger when He calleth you to that which quickeneth you, and know that Allah cometh in between the man and his own heart, and that He it is unto Whom ye will be gathered.” Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #24)

8) “and obey Allah and his messenger, and dispute not one with another lest ye falter and your strength depart from you; but be steadfast! Lo! Allah is with the steadfast.” Al-Anfal, Chapter #8, Verse #46)

9) “and the believers, men and women, are protecting friends one of another; they enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and they establish worship and they pay the poor-due, and they obey Allah and his messenger. As for these, Allah will have mercy on them. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Wise.” At-Taubah, Chapter #9, Verse #71)

10) “The saying of (all true) believers when they appeal unto Allah and his messenger to judge between them is only that they say: We hear and we obey. and such are the successful.” An-Noor, Chapter #24, Verse #51)

11) “He who obeyeth Allah and his messenger, and feareth Allah, and keepeth duty (unto Him): such indeed are the victorious.” An-Noor, Chapter #24, Verse #52)

12) “and stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and his messenger. Allah's wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.” Al-Ahzab, Chapter #33, Verse #33)

13) “On the day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed his messenger!” Al-Ahzab, Chapter #33, Verse #66)

14) “He will adjust your works for you and will forgive you your sins. Whosoever obeyeth Allah and his messenger, he verily hath gained a signal victory.” Al-Ahzab, Chapter #33, Verse #71)

15) “There is no blame for the blind, nor is there blame for the lame, nor is there blame for the sick (that they go not forth to war). and whoso obeyeth Allah and his messenger, He will make him enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow; and whoso turneth back, him will He punish with a painful doom.” Al-Fath, Chapter #48, Verse #17)

16) “The wandering Arabs say: We believe. Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Ye believe not, but rather say "We submit," for the faith hath not yet entered into your hearts. Yet, if ye obey Allah and his messenger, He will not withhold from you aught of (the reward of) your deeds. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” Al-Hujraat, Chapter #49, Verse #14)

17) “Fear ye to offer alms before your conference? Then, when ye do it not and Allah hath forgiven you, establish worship and pay the poor-due and obey Allah and his messenger. and Allah is Aware of what ye do.” Al-Mujadila, Chapter #58, Verse #13)

18) “Obey Allah and obey his messenger; but if ye turn away, then the duty of Our messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly.” At-Taghabun, Chapter #64, Verse #12)

19) “Mine is) but conveyance (of the Truth) from Allah, and his messages; and whoso disobeyeth Allah and his messenger, lo! his is fire of hell, wherein such dwell for ever.” Al-Jinn, Chapter #72, Verse #23)

All these are Quranic quotes.

Sincere advice, do not play games with your afterlife. If a person is lazy and does not want to do something just admit that you're lazy. Do not make things up and then try to justify your own opinion by twisting the words of the Quran.

We only know Allah Subhanu wa ta'ala thru his Messengers deny the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and you deny the message. Then on the day of judgement when you are begging for mercy then you'll get the message.

You still have time; get your house into order. Follow a madhab and an Aqida school and save yourself from incorrect views.

34.28 "We have not sent you (O Muhammad) except as a giver of glad tidings and a warner to all mankind but most of know not."

Five ways a Shia can find freedom

Used with permission

`When having a discussion with the Twelver Shi`a, we must understand
that the Shi`a believe that Muslim Orthodoxy (Ahl us- Sunna) have
corrupted and tampered with the second form of Islamic revelation, the
Sunna. It is then only the Qur’an that we will have in common. How can
we meet and what can we agree on? Maybe we should talk about where
we disagree and then see if we can come together.

SEEING THE LORD IN THE HEREAFTER

1. The Twelver Shi`a are taught by their theologians that they
will never know or see God, in this life or the Hereafter.
The famous Twelver Shi`a theologian, Allamah al- Hilli (1250- 1325)
stated,
The vision (or seeing) of God is impossible.
[Islamic Creeds: A Selection, pp. 98 & 100 under the chapter, God’s Negative Attributes]
We are sad to hear that from our Shi`a acquaintances, as Allah has given
us the good news, known as the Blessed Hope in the Qur’an that He will
be seen,
For those who have ihsaan is goodness and something additional.
[Surah Yunus, ayah 26]

The Prophet Muhammad SAW said about this verse:
‘The veil will be removed and they will gaze at Him. Nothing that He
has bestowed on them will be dearer to them than gazing at Him.
And that is the something additional. ’
[Collected by Imaams at- Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah, ad- Daaraqutni and Ahmad]

On the day that faces will be radiant, gazing at their Lord.
[Surat ul- Qiyaamah (75), ayaat (verses) 22- 23]
This has also been mentioned at some 9 other places in the Qur’an. What
a supreme reward to see and know the Possessor of Majesty and Honour!

THE SAHAABA IN GENERAL

2. Twelver Shi`a theologians have informed us that most of the
Sahaaba are untrustworthy and have fabricated lies and hadith
to please evil rulers.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, foremost modern cleric of Twelver Shi`a
thoughts says about Abu Huraira RAA in particular and the Sahaaba RAA in
general,
"Allah knows what misfortunes Islam has suffered- from its’ inception
down to the present at the hands of these evil ulama! Abu Huraira
was one of the fuqaha, but Allah knows what judgements he falsified
for Mu`awiyah and others like him and what damage he inflicted
upon Islam. When an ordinary person enters the service of an
oppressive government, he is to be accounted a sinner, but no greater
harm will come of it. But, when a faqih like Abu Huraira or a judge
like Shuraih joins such a government, he improves its’ standing
while besmirching the reputation of Islam."

[Wilaayat ul- Faqih (Governance of the Faqih), pp. 132- 133]

This is very unfortunate indeed, for Allah has said about the Sahaaba RAA ,
"And for the poor among the emigrants, who were expelled from their
homes and their property, seeking the Favour of Allah and to please
Him and helping Allah and His Messenger, they are indeed the
truthful ones."

[Surat ul- Hashar (59), ayah (verse) 8]

Allah Subhanu wa ta'ala says about the sacrifice of our noble predecessors RAA ,
And those who, before them, had homes and had adopted the faith,
love those who emigrate to them, and have no jealously in their
breasts for that which they have been given and give them
preference over themselves, even though they were in need of that.
"And whoever is saved from his own covetous behaviour, they are
successful"

[Surat ul- Hashar (59), ayah (verse) 9]

But how has Allah commanded us to be with those who preceded us? Let
us read on carefully,
Those that came after them say, ‘Our Lord, forgive us and our
brothers who preceded us in faith and do not put hatred in our
hearts towards towards those who believe. O Our Lord! You are the
Benevolent and Compassionate. ’
[Surat ul- Hashar (59), ayah (verse) 10]

THE WIVES OF THE PROPHET (Peace and blessings be upon him)

3. The Twelver Shi`a theologians teach their followers that
`A’isha RAA , one of the wives of the Prophet SAW was an
enemy of Allah and that she was a fallen adulterous woman.
But what does the Lord of all creation say about those who accused her
of this in the time of the Prophet SAW ?
Indeed those who brought the slander are a group from among you.
Do not think it an evil thing for you. On the contrary, it is better for
you. Everyone will be rewarded by what they earned from sin and
for those who had a greater part in the sin from among them, they
will have a greater punishment

Those who enjoy that the crime of sexual intercourse should be
spread among those who believe, they will have a painful torment in
this world and in the Hereafter. Allah knows and you do not know.

[Surat un- Nur (24), ayaat (verses) 11 and 19]

How terrible to slander someone who Allah actually sent verses down to
clear their very name.
How awful would it be if someone said this type of thing about our own
wives? Or what is worse, what if someone were to say this about our
mothers? Indeed those who follow the Twelver Shi`a theologians already
have, but they do not realise.

Please read what Allah has revealed,
The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves, and his
wives are their mothers.
[Surat ul- Ahzaab, ayah 6]

Indeed, these women are our mothers in faith. They are more important
than our own mothers and they are part of the pure in faith from Ahl ul-
Bait (the Household of the Prophet SAW )

Just read what Allah says about these noble women,
O women of the Prophet! You are not like other women, provided
you have piety…

"Allah desires to remove all impurity from you,
People of the House and purify you completely. And remember the
Signs of Allah and the wise words, which are recited in your rooms.
Allah is All- Pervading, All- Aware."

[Surat ul- Ahzaab (33), ayaat (verses) 32 & 34]

THE FIRST THREE KHALIFAS

4. The Twelver theologians teach their followers that the first
three khalifas, namely Abu Bakr RAA , `Umar RAA and
`Uthmaan RAA were usurpers that took hold of leadership
when in fact it was `Ali RAA who deserved to be the first
khalifa.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1901- 1989) explains,
You all know how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lived, the Prophet who was the head of the Islamic state and its ruler. The first two khalifas adhered
to the Prophet’s SAW example in the outer conduct of their personal
lives, even though in other affairs they acted to the contrary, which
led to the grave deviations that appeared in the time of `Uthmaan,
the same deviations that have inflicted on us these misfortunes of the
present day.
[Wilaayat ul- Faqih (Governance of the Jurist), p. 39; Sharh Nahj ul- Balaaghah, V. 2, pp. 126- 161 and pp. 324- 333;
V. 3, 3- 69; V. 9, pp. 3- 90; al- Ghaadir, V. 8, pp. 97- 323]

Let us take a look at what Allah says about these three men. In the
migration from Makkah to Madinah, the Prophet Muhammad SAW and
Abu Bakr RAA took shelter in a cave. When the bounty hunters from the
Quraish were about to find them, Abu Bakr RAA cried out of love and fear
for the life of the Messenger SAW . The Messenger SAW told him not to
worry as Allah was with them. Allah mentions this incident,
And when the unbelievers drove out the second of the two and they
were in the cave, he said to his companion, ‘Do not be sad, surely
Allah is with us. ’
Then Allah sent down his tranquillity upon him
and strengthened him with forces, "which you did not see and made
the word of those who did not believe to be low and the Word of
Allah to be the highest. And Allah is Mighty and Wise."

[Surat ut- Tawba (9), ayah (verse) 40]

When `Uthmaan RAA was taken by the Quraish in Makkah and the
Muslims were afraid that he might be killed, they agreed to make a small
army and bring to justice those who had murdered him. It should be
remembered that both Abu Bakr RAA and `Umar RAA were in the crowd
during this incident.

But would Allah say the following thing about a band of usurpers,
Allah was pleased with the believers when they gave their pledge to
you

[Surat ul- Fath (48), ayah (verse) 18]

Most assuredly, if `Abu Bakr RAA , `Umar RAA and the absent `Uthmaan
RAA were truly so evil, such verses would not have been revealed, would
they? And Allah would never have allowed them to make a pledge to
defend and avenge the life of a usurper or a kaafir.
Infact, there is another verse where these three Sahaaba RAA as well as
`Ali RAA are mentioned together as believers when they were digging a
trench for the Great Battle of the Confederates,
And when the believers saw the confederates, they said, ‘This is what
Allah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His
Messenger had spoken the truth, ’ and it only added to their faith and
their submission.
[Surat ul- Ahzaab (33), ayah (verse) 22]

THE INCLINATION TOWARDS SECTARIANISM

5. Twelver Shi`a theologians teach their followers to hide their
true faith from other Muslims as well as non- Muslims in a
doctrine known as taqiyyah (deception). By hiding their faith,
they believe they are preserving Islam and that only their
small body of people will be fit for the Paradise.
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini again informs us,
The purpose of Taqiyyah is the preservation of Islam and the Shi`ii
school; if people had not resorted to it, our school of thought would
have been destroyed.
[Wilaayat ul- Faqih (Governance of the Jurist), p. 133]

Islam is a lot greater than some small cult that needs to be hidden. Allah
has ordered us to proclaim the faith outloud, in the open to all people, to
invite them to salvation.
And proclaim the favour of your Lord
[Surat ud- Duhaa (93), ayah (verse) 11]

Proclaim what has been revealed to you from your Lord. And if you
do not, you will not have fulfilled the mission He has entrusted to
you.

What need would there be to hide the truth from the Lord and salvation if
you are sure that you will be saved and that you are possessing of the true
faith?

And the good news of proclaiming the way of Allah is that He has said
that most Muslims will indeed be admitted to Paradise with His Grace.
He made this whole nation guided, as He Himself has revealed,
"And We have made you a just and balanced nation , to be witnesses
over humanity"

[Surat ul- Baqarah (2), ayah (verse) 143]

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) has said,
Indeed, the Children of Israel will split into 71 sects and this Ummah
will have one more sect than them, all in the Fire except as- Sawaad
al- A`zam (the vast majority of people of the Muslims).

Ibn `Abbas RAA , the first cousin of the Prophet Muhammad SAW , referred
to all upright Muslims in his time as, “Ahl us- Sunna,” which in English
would be interpreted as, Muslim Orthodoxy.
